Donald A. Chiappetta, DC - Performance Enhancement
Dr. Donald A. Chiappetta is a graduate of Fairfield University in Fairfield Connecticut. Dr. Chiappetta graduated with a major in communications, a minor in Fine Arts and a concentration in Pre-Med. Upon graduation Dr. Chiappetta was accepted to Stony Brook University's medical/Dental School, he put his studies on hold to accept an assistant coaching position with the NFL, strength & conditioning with the New York Jets. He remained with the N.Y. Jets for the 1990 - 1992 seasons. Dr. Chiappetta was offered and accepted the head strength coach position at Life University, a division NAIA school. There he received his Doctor of Chiropractic.
In 1996 Dr. Chiappetta headed the development of the official Olympic training facility in Marietta Georgia. He went into private practice in 1996 and then joined the DAC Medical Group in 2000. Since then Dr. Chiappetta continues to be active in helping members of the community get rid of pain and increase their function and ability to enjoy life. Dr. Chiappetta continues to work with professional athletes and celebrities most recently the Spice Girls and the creator of Family Guy, Seth McFarland.
His mindset and approach to wellness is consistent with the clinic's name, Doctors About Care, Dr. Chiappetta and the rest of the DAC Medical team treat all patients as they would one of their own family. Dr. Chiappetta currently serves as the Chief Operation Officer of Advanced Spinal Technologies, a medical device company FDA approved for musculoskeletal conditions associated with the spine, including but not limited to herniated, bulging discs and muscle spasms.
Timothy J. Mosomillo, DO - Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine
Dr. Timothy Mosomillo was born and raised on Long Island. He grew up in Wantagh and lived in his hometown for 35 years. He embarked on his education at Nassau Community College and transferred to Hofstra University where he received his Bachelors of Arts degree majoring in the Sciences. He went on to medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine which was followed by a 3 year medical residency in Family Practice and Osteopathic Medicine. As part of his medical training Dr. Mosomillo trained in all the local hospitals some of which included Stony Brook University hospital, Nassau County Medical Center, Long Beach Memorial Hospital, Coney Island Hospital, Brookdale Hospital, St. John's University and Peninsula hospital in Far Rockaway.
A Long Island Native, graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Sciences Degree and a Physician Assistant Certification. She has a highly specialized knowledge of physical medicine and rehabilitation, acting as a leader on our team for the past 5 years. She is also part of the Winthrop University Hospital Emergency Department, helping with all types of medical emergencies for the last 2 years. Carolyn is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and New York State Society of Physician Assistants.
